I had so much fun crafting my Easter cards this year using the Crafter’s Companion Easter card kit and Hunkydory Forever Florals Spring Melody papers. The card kit had some cutesy little bunny and lamb stamps, and also had a pretty cross and sentiments to create both fun and spiritual cards. I also brought out my favorite spring floral papers that have a faded spring color palette that complemented the idea of new beginnings and Easter blessings. I became addicted to watching crafty videos during the pandemic and one of my favorites is Vianney Creates. She has so many tips and tricks about paper crafting, and such a fun casual style to her tutorials. I decided to try joining one of her fun swaps, and was able to get in with her “Spring into Easter” Embellishment Box swap. Have you ever had a stamp where it just makes a card on its own so easily? I just love it when this happens. I stamped out the Crafter’s Companion “Make a Wish” mushroom stamp on watercolor paper multiple times and tried some watercoloring with Aqua Markers. Using red for the mushrooms and complemented with green on the ferns and a bright blue sky just makes it pop. I love Crafter’s Companion cardmaking collections, and I selected the Watercolor Christmas for crafting my cards this year. The paper color palette has such a soft feeling, with winter foliage, snowflakes, and woodland critters – all celebrating the Christmas season. The stamps have different scene builders like a little tree to decorate, a banner, presents, and a sled. But the kicker for me is the idea of watercoloring the stamps.
