Christmas Rose Card Collection from Crafter’s Companion – So Gorgeous!

I finally finished my Christmas cards for 2024 and sent them out on the 27th – it’s still the holidays right? I was so busy with all our holiday activities, but I’m so glad I took the time to work with the Christmas Rose collection from Crafter’s Companion, and was able to make 40 cards!

I am so in love with this new collection. It has a vintage pastel glittery Christmas charm, and I could create beautiful cards so easily and really enjoyed the crafting process – a calming effect amid all the holiday bustle. The main paper pad is filled with gorgeous layered Christmas imagery and elegant pink roses.

I started by stamping several sentiments and used watercolors to quickly add a splash of color. My favorite is the oval “Season’s Greeting” with a few flowers around the frame. It is a great size and so perfect for painting the winter roses in coordinating colors.

I also love the little trees die cuts. I antiqued the white paper with a little light tan ink and highlighted them with the vintage silver glitter paste that came with the collection. They framed the nostalgic winter village scenes and added some dimension – but still flat enough for easy mailing.

The collection included a topper pad with sentiments, die cut shapes and magical snowy village scenes that worked so well in the center of cards. I cut out a batch and added a card stock drop shadow or inked the edges so they stood out from the background papers.

The delicate frame die is a great size for the center of a 5 x 7 card. See the little hearts among the swirls?

Another 6 x 6 paper pad has more little vintage winter scenes framed in roses, pines and berries – perfect for square cards. I just love the detailed snowmen, ice skates, and Santa illustrations, and how they blend in with the pretty snowflake egde die, decorative aperatures, and even shaker cards.

I even scored this mysterious die I found separately on scrapbook.com – not shown in the collection package, but so pretty with a vintage lamp post surrounded by the same little pine trees. I just added a little scene in the background and voila!

Another great technique is to edge the paper with ink to add dimension. It also frames the paper and creates a faux matte.

I also found the perfect pink rose layered stickers and lace ribbon from Dollar Tree and used them as ephemera on many of the cards. I

Of course I can’t craft a set of cards without including easels cards! I just added a little deer here and a little tree there, and a stamped vintage “Christmas Wishes” sentiment as the stopper. Don’t you just want to visit that little village church with the warm window glow?

I absolutely love when I can craft with a collection and more and more little crafty ideas come to me, and everything just comes together. It’s so fun and I can give my family and friends a little piece of Christmas cheer. Enjoy!
