Dollar Tree put out so many amazing fall craft pieces this year, and I started collecting different items in July and August. As I found my favorites, I planned in my mind what I wanted to craft, then I started filling in with the rest for each decor creation. For instance, when I found a large fall word “Thankful & Blessed,” I looked for a coordinating wreath base (This is a charger from Hobby Lobby – 75% off!), florals and ribbon to go with it. I also think about the sizing for each so the proportions look right with the combinations.
Fall is definitely my favorite season, and I had so much fun crafting all the details in these pieces.
I’m loving the cherry pie and had to craft a little hanging sign for it!
I practiced distressed painting on the wooden word shapes, and I brushed on multiple colors on the big maple leaf with slats – it made a perfect center for a mini wreath.
For 20 crafty party favors, I found little cutting boards for 75% off at Hobby Lobby and added wording, Dollar Tree rub-ons, florals and cute little bows.
Speaking of rub-ons – check out this gorgeous daisy bouquet from Dollar Tree – I’m crazy about them!
But my most favorite Dollar Tree item for fall are the foam mushrooms. They come in red, light blue and tan. They are so unique and are the perfect crafty addition to floral arrangements.
I grouped these pie recipe square signs on a frame from Hobby Lobby that I painted in distressed matching colors.
I painted a bunch of the small wooden shapes and tied them with ribbon on twine for fun garlands to add onto the front of a mantel. I also arranged them on a wooden board with a jumbo popsicle stick frame and Dollar Tree metal “welcome” wording.
I even tried a Halloween shadow box using those clever glass bottles with the best little labels and cork tops – love them! 100% Dollar Tree.
I covered three of the infamous styrofoam Dollar Tree pumpkins with fabrics and added leftover floral leaves and birch stems (also Dollar Tree!) Aren’t these so cute – and these are the easiest to make by far.
I continue to work on making better mesh wreaths. I crafted a base with neutral burlap then added on the themed embellishments. My favorite is the pastel version with the dusty violet and peachy color palette. And note those awesome blue mushrooms on the the monochromatic version. And the candy corn version is making me crave something sweet.
And…I finally tried some Dollar Tree constructing. A couple 3-tiered shelves made with Dollar Tree crates and large paint sticks. They’re great little neutral decor pieces that can be placed in any room and filled with teas, spices, candies, makeup, cotton balls, florals – so fun.
I had a blast getting creative with the help of my current obsession, the Dollar Tree. Each store has treasures waiting for you to find – all for only $1.25!
