This year I created 40 cards using several different craft kits and themes. I tried different techniques with the sets and really had fun crafting them for family and friends! I love the vintage look of this craft kit from LDRS. I added some tearing, twine and glitter to play up the layered look of the background papers. I love this Hunky Dory kit for making beautiful and quick cards for Christmas 2022. The kit includes letter size card stock for the bases, plus tons of gold foil toppers and sentiments. The floral illustrations have a modern country feel with mason jars, twine and vintage lettering. And best of all they craft together so easily! Dollar Tree put out so many amazing fall craft pieces this year, and I started collecting different items in July and August. As I found my favorites, I planned in my mind what I wanted to craft, then I started filling in with the rest for each decor creation. For instance, when I found a large fall word “Thankful & Blessed,” I looked for a coordinating wreath base (This is a charger from Hobby Lobby – 75% off!), florals and ribbon to go with it. After one look at this Hummingbird Collection by Crafter’s Companion, I knew I would love crafting with all the beautiful elements. The imagery on the papers and stamps, combined with the tropical color palette easily came together into gorgeous projects. I started by stamping out a bunch of hummingbird and flower stamps on colored paper and watercolor paper. Then I used my favorite Aqua Markers in bright fun colors, keeping the coloring loose and using some simple shading to add dimension.
